Dear Parents,
Welcome to one of the most exciting weeks of a child's year. Halloween celebrations are fun and our Gr. 8's have planned a Halloween Dance for every class in the school on Tuesday. They are suggesting a contribution of a Loonie or Toonie, if possible, to support the Share Life Program at SJB.
Tuesday will be Halloween Colours day (Black, White Yellow, Orange, Green, Purple, Red). We have done this every year and it is a great way to celebrate Halloween without having to create a costume for school. You may ask “Why no costumes?” The reasoning is that using Halloween colours lets everyone participate equally. Not all kids would have access to a “costume.” Also, we would not want a child’s only costume to get damaged or soiled, at recess or lunch, before the evening festivities.
It's hard to believe that we are almost into November, and the Season of Advent, which is just around the corner. Enjoy what is left of Fall!!!
