Appropriate Dress Guidelines
Published on Apr 4, 2019 17:07

As the warmer weather approaches, it is a good time to review St. Jean de Brebeuf's appropriate dress guidelines.   These guidelines have been approved by Parent Council and can be found in your child's agenda.

The following dress code should be observed:

  • Clothing without offensive or inappropriate illustrations, labels, or messages shall be worn.
  • Swimwear, muscle shirts, halter tops, clothing with spaghetti straps, revealing clothing and bare midriffs are considered to be inappropriate in a school environment and should not be worn.  Undergarments must not be exposed.
  • Clothing must cover the shoulder (the general rule is two or three fingers wide).  Shorts/skirts must be at least mid-thigh in length and lower than fingertips extended down the side of the leg.
  • Hats are not to be worn in the school except in special circumstances such as spirit days.
  • Students must wear shoes for safety and hygienic reasons.

Students are expected to co-operate with these expectations and follow the directions of staff and administration.

Thank you for your support and reviewing these guidelines with your son/daughter.   They will also be reviewed in class.
