Dear Parents,
Improving Math achievement is one of the goals for our school, the board and the province. You may have heard from your child about different activities we are doing at school like "Math Talks," "Problem of the Week" and "Bobcat Brainteasers," as engaging ways to have students think about and improve on their Math skills. At SJB we are focussing on students trying hard, working to the end and not giving up. Ms. Diessel shared with me an excellent resource for parents who would like to help their children with Math as well. It comes from the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA). It is a link to some activities that can be done at home to support Math achievement. Give them a look and try them with your children. It is a lot of fun. Click on the link below. Yours in Faith, J.
