Good Evening Folks,
We are just about to head into the second week of Advent and they are calling for snow soon. Please remember we are in the South Zone if you are listening to the radio for weather cancellations.  Just remember that the school rarely closes even though buses may be cancelled (its only happened 3 times in my 27 years in education).  Schools remain open for student learning.  Our Lost and found is starting to fill up.  Please put your child's name inside their clothing so we can get it back to them if they lose it.
Please listen on a local radio station for the weather report every morning and send the children with the mittens, hats and scarves necessary to keep them warm.  Waterproof mittens and gloves are a must as the thin cloth gloves do very little to keep hands warm.

Mitten Tree -  We have started our mitten tree for this year.  Families can donate new mittens, gloves and hats to adorn our tree in the main foyer.  SJB Families have been very generous to our community over the years.

Food Drive - Our Social Justice club has started a Christmas food drive for non-perishable food and toiletries for the local food bank.  Donations have already started pouring in.  Thank you for your generosity.
