Weekly Events Sept. 18, 2017
Published on Sep 17, 2017 16:10

Dear Parents,
We are fortunate that we have been able to create a new Gr.3/4 classroom to alleviate the overcrowding that we had in our classes; particularly in our Primary division, where all classes were above provincial caps.  We welcome Ms Bianchi who will begin the term as the classroom teacher.  The effect of the restructure has been a positive one for the overall learning environments of our school and the teachers and students are looking forward to the rest of the year.
Parent Council
Parents are invited to the Parent Council meeting this coming Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at 6:30 PM in our library.  No previous experience is needed, just a positive attitude and a willingness to work with you fellow parents for the good of our school and our students. You can get a copy of the Candidate Nomination form on our School website:
SJB Website
You can find the form under the "Our School" Drop down menu near the top of the website page. If you can't print it, there will be extra copies at the meeting for you to fill out.
Thank you to the many parent volunteers who help out at our school.  If you are hoping to volunteer at some point this year, whether it be at the school Carnival, class trips, sports events, etc., it is necessary to have a Criminal Background Check (CBC) with the Vulnerable Screening Sector completed.  You can pick up an application to get this done at the office from Mrs. Cierifoni.  If you have a CBC already, from last year, it is necessary for you to come into the office to sign an Annual Offence Declaration (AOD) before the expiry date of your current CBC.
Looking forward to the school year.  The Weekly Events are listed below, God bless and keep your families.
Yours in faith,
J. Murphy
